Have a question?

I haunt the forum thread for this story, so feel free to come and share in the discussion! Or, if that's not your style, you can email me at

Also, don't be afraid to say hi if you stop by the Yak's Bend server. You can find Laurel, Cuain, Feathers and Agghi if you know where to look. You can also find Valiant Rhyna no matter what server you're on, though I don't imagine she'll be so talkative.

FAQ

Q:What is this anyway?

A:Leaves and Embers is a Guild Wars 2 novel I've been puttering away at in my spare time since January 2013. I had a story to tell and it wouldn't let me out of its teeth until the words were commited to paper (or bits and bytes as the case may be). I'm not a writer, but I am an avid reader of fantasy. My current author-worship falls on Neil Gaiman, George RR Martin, and Robin Hobb. I don't think I will ever grow to write as beautifully as they do, but I hope that the same love and care they show in their work will come through in Leaves and Embers as well.

If it's well recieved, I may end up writing other full-length stories as well. If not, then I guess I'll stick to tumblr until the next soul-crippling tale possesses me.

Q:You got X wrong in the lore!

A:Did I? That's a shame. I try very hard to be respectful of the Guild Wars 2 canon, but as this story is my own work of art, I may need to bend corners on occassion. I hope it doesn't bother you too much, and if it does, come pester me about it on the forums!

Q:I've been to these places in game, why do you make them sound so big?

A:Hmmm, yes. I try to keep the distances within my story consistent within itself, but I have blown them up a bit from the game itself. I like to imagine the world of Tyria has been shrunken down for our gaming pleasure and so when I write I scale them back up they way I imagine them to be.
